A Little Bit About Why I Wrote This Memoir

I wrote this memoir to share my knowledge and help others who, like me, have faced challenges with mental health. My journey through the complexities of mental health—particularly bipolar disorder, depression, addiction, and neurodiversity, specifically dyslexia—has been a profound experience that I hope can offer insights and support to others.

This memoir is a candid exploration of my path, detailing the early signs of my struggles, the challenges of late-life diagnosis, and my ongoing quest to find balance. I share personal stories about navigating relationships, education, and work while dealing with the ups and downs of these conditions.

But this book is more than just a recounting of events. It's a thoughtful analysis of what has worked and what hasn't, aiming to provide practical insights for those facing similar challenges. This is a story of resilience, growth, and the relentless pursuit of peace of mind.

I hope to transform my lifelong struggles into a beacon of hope, showing that even in our darkest times, the right help and support can lead to a fulfilling life. This book is a testament to the human spirit's capacity to overcome adversity and find purpose.
